This attitude remained unchanged even after he entered the workforce, and he achieved a step in his life strategy that most people would never have thought of: becoming the first Japanese CPA in Vietnam.
After establishing the company, he has continued his rapid progress that you all know and love.
He said that the key to his business was “not to fight with other companies for a position, but to create a market and make it your own monopoly market".

Since joining Tokyu Corporation in 1993, he has been involved in urban development projects at the head office and group companies in Japan for about 20 years.

Tokyu established a representative office in Vietnam in 2012 after recognizing the potential of the country. I have been a classmate of Representative Kaburagi's since high school. I was a hired guitarist in the band (a heavy metal copy band) in which he is the leader and bass player, and we have continued our relationship to this day. I remember that since I was a high school student, Representative Kaburagi showed his leadership and business acumen by organizing live concerts with bands from various high schools and selling tickets to the concerts to the members he gathered at a blind date (at a coffee shop).

I am Kajiwara, a cousin of Representative Kaburagi of the I-GLOCAL Group. Representative Kaburagi and I have spent a lot of time together since I was a child, studying and traveling together, and he is like an older brother to me.
He is a very cool person. He was able to play Chopin a month right after he was interested in piano. At first glance, he seems to be a genius who can do anything quickly, but behind the scenes he makes solid efforts, and the fact that he doesn't show it too often is also a smart move. He will always be my goal.
I believe that it is very challenging to start anything new from the start in Vietnam. I think it was his characteristic foresight and overwhelming enthusiasm that broke through the pressures of solitary leadership and led him to his current success. However, it would have been difficult for Representative Kaburagi alone to weave the I-GLOCAL Group's 20 years of history together as a powerful path builder. He is the chairman of a long-established pharmaceutical company founded in 1949. I-GLOCAL founder Yusuke Kaburagi is my nephew and I have watched him grow up since he was a child.
In the past, I was concerned about Japan's super-aging and declining population, and turned my attention to the potential of ASEAN. Vietnam was one of the countries that caught my attention. Vietnam is geopolitically located at the center of ASEAN, and considering Vietnam's Buddhism, Confucianism, and the diligence of the Vietnamese people, I thought there was still room for economic development in Vietnam, and began visiting the country.
When President Kaburagi was a student at Keio University, he accompanied me as my secretary on my fourth visit to Vietnam. In Hanoi, we had discussions with students from the University of Hanoi, visited Bach Mai Hospital, and toured Japanese companies in Ho Chi Minh City. Having visited Vietnam several times since his student days, President Kaburagi developed an affinity for the country. After becoming a certified public accountant, he worked for an American accounting firm in Ho Chi Minh City and established his own accounting firm (now I-GLOCAL). Having had no small amount of involvement with I-GLOCAL, I was very pleased when the firm celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023.

Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of your establishment. After I completed my second CPA exam, I was asked, “Would you like to go to Vietnam with me?” I was surprised when he asked me, “Why Vietnam?” I was surprised. I was just thinking that Kaburagi must have been so interested in Vietnam back then.
Since then, he has been focusing solely on Vietnam, and at a young age, he became a representative in Vietnam for an auditing firm and the first Japanese to become a certified public accountant in Vietnam. And not long after, when he thought he had become independent, he grew the firm into one of the largest accounting firms in Vietnam. Regarding this 20th anniversary, I am truly happy as a friend and colleague because I know the hardships and struggles of that growth milestone. I am also impressed and inspired by the unparalleled success of the firm in overcoming difficulties and achieving overwhelming growth.
Starsia, of which I am the president, is developing an accounting consulting business with Korea as its market and will celebrate its 17th anniversary in 2024. Since its inception, we have always followed I-GLOCAL's back and kept thinking to ourselves, "We are going to be like I-GLOCAL in Korea". Perhaps that sense of competition has been the driving force that has brought us this far.
As an aside, the name of our company, "Starsia", comes from a phrase when Kaburagi-san and I were drinking together and he said, "We are going to be the star of Asia!" Let’s continue to work together to become the "Star of Asia".

With the aim of improving the level of dental care in ASEAN, the company invites local dentists and dental care professionals to Japan for training and exchange, and dispatches Japanese dentists and dental care professionals to the region.

In September 2012, I met Mr. Kaburagi and Mr. Jitsuhara at a management study session, and we have had a good relationship up to the present. Then, when I visited Ho Chi Minh City in November of the same year, I was introduced to Mr. Trung of your company, and we are still working together as good partners to educate Vietnamese dentists. I am truly grateful for the wonderful relationship we have had. I will continue to make every effort to improve the level of dental care in Vietnam and other ASEAN countries, and I look forward to working with you in the future.

Congratulations on the 20th anniversary of I-GLOCAL establishment.
I met President Kaburagi-kun in the 6th grade at a cram school for junior high school entrance exams, and we were classmates in junior high and high school (Kaisei Gakuen). I remember being overwhelmed by his communication skills, which I did not expect from someone of his generation. He was different from ordinary people, so when I heard from a classmate that he had start a company in Vietnam and that the company had become one of the leading accounting firms in Vietnam, all I could think was, "Of course, that is the Kabu-chan!"
Everyone now recognizes that Vietnam is a market with a decent size economy and high growth potential among Asian countries. However, when he started his company in Vietnam 20 years ago, even within the securities industry, which favors early-stage opportunities, Vietnam was often viewed as “one of the VISTA countries following BRICS.” The subsequent collapse of Lehman Brothers blew that thinking out of the water. In such an environment, I believe that I-GLOCAL's commitment to Vietnam and its continued growth is due to its firm vision for the future and its constant evolution toward that vision.
There is a saying in the market: “Behind the path taken by one person lies a mountain of flowers.” It means that, to profit in the stock market, you have to do the opposite of what others do. I believe that I-GLOCAL has truly lived up to this maxim.
I sincerely hope that I-GLOCAL will continue to lead the industry and further develop I-GLOCAL in the next 20 years.
