Mr. Kaburagi was a classmate of mine at Kaisei Gakuen, and while in school, he was always doing things that defied everyone's common sense.
He had a strategic goal of becoming an accountant from early on, and when it came to university entrance examinations, he gave up on the idea of “quickly entering the University of Tokyo,” instead opting for Keio University of Economics, which had a lower subject load, and he was able to pass the entrance exam at his first try
This attitude remained unchanged even after he entered the workforce, and he achieved a step in his life strategy that most people would never have thought of: becoming the first Japanese CPA in Vietnam.
After establishing the company, he has continued his rapid progress that you all know and love.
He said that the key to his business was “not to fight with other companies for a position, but to create a market and make it your own monopoly market".
Not content with being an accountant, Kaburagi paved his own way to a brilliant life as a businessman and became a pioneer.
Mr. Kaburagi, whom I can respect as a business manager, has been slowing down lately in his retirement.
It would really be a waste to let you reach your 60th birthday like this.

Since joining Tokyu Corporation in 1993, he has been involved in urban development projects at the head office and group companies in Japan for about 20 years.

Tokyu established a representative office in Vietnam in 2012 after recognizing the potential of the country. At that time, I-GLOCAL really helped us in many areas, both publicly and privately, not to mention providing support for our entry into the market. When President Yusuke Kaburaki was a student at Keio University, I accompanied him as secretary on my fourth visit to Vietnam. In Hanoi, we had discussions with students from the University of Hanoi, visited Bac Mai Hospital, and toured Japanese companies in Ho Chi Minh City. Having visited Vietnam several times since his student days, President Yusuke developed an affinity for the country. After becoming a certified public accountant, he worked for an American accounting firm in Ho Chi Minh City and established his own accounting firm (now I-GLOCAL). Having had no small amount of involvement with I-GLOCAL, I was very pleased when the firm celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2023.

After I completed my second CPA exam, I was asked, “Would you like to go to Vietnam with me?” I was surprised when he asked me, “Why Vietnam?” I was surprised. I thought, “Why Vietnam?". Kaburagi must have been so interested in Vietnam back then.
Since then, he has been focusing solely on Vietnam, and at a young age, he became a representative in Vietnam for an auditing firm and the first Japanese to become a certified public accountant in Vietnam. And not long after, when he thought he had become independent, he grew the firm into one of the largest accounting firms in Vietnam. Regarding this 20th anniversary, I am truly happy as a friend and colleague because I know the hardships and struggles of that growth milestone. I am also impressed and inspired by the unparalleled success of the firm in overcoming difficulties and achieving overwhelming growth.
Starsia, of which I am the president, is developing an accounting consulting business with Korea as its market and will celebrate its 17th anniversary in 2024. Since its inception, we have always followed I-GLOCAL's back and kept thinking to ourselves, “We are going to be like I-GLOCAL in Korea. Perhaps that sense of competition has been the driving force that has brought us this far.
As an aside, the name of our company, “Starsia,” comes from a phrase Kaburagi-san and I were drinking together when he said, “We are going to be the star of Asia! We are going to be the star of Asia! Let's continue to work together to become the “Star of Asia”.

My encounter with I-GLOCAL began in 2016 when I met Mr. Jitsuhara.I had established TAGGER in 2013 with the desire to “create unforgettable moments that will last a lifetime” and was developing a character branding business in Vietnam with the hope of bringing smiles to children's faces through characters. When we explained our business and told them of our desire, Mr. Jitsuhara, who listened to us for about an hour, said, “Let us support you so that your desire will continue for Vietnam". This is where the history of I-GLOCAL and TAGGER began.
Among I-GLOCAL's clients, we were the first privately owned company that was involved in a special character business, but they believed in the potential of the entertainment business in Vietnam and in our ideas, and they have walked alongside us through the years. I met President Kaburagi-kun in the 6th grade at a cram school for junior high school entrance exams, and we were classmates in junior high and high school (Kaisei Gakuen). I remember being overwhelmed by his communication skills, which I did not expect from someone of his generation. He was different from ordinary people, so when I heard from a classmate that he had started a company in Vietnam and that the company had become one of the leading accounting firms in Vietnam, all I could think was, “Of course, that Kabura-chan! was all I could think.
Everyone now recognizes that Vietnam is a market with a decent size economy and high growth potential among Asian countries. However, when he started his company in Vietnam 20 years ago, even in the securities industry, which loves to buy companies from the blue-chip market, the perception of Vietnam was “one of the VISTA countries coming after BRICS? The subsequent collapse of Lehman Brothers blew such words out of the water. In such an environment, I believe that I-GLOCAL's commitment to Vietnam and its continued growth is due to its firm vision for the future and its constant evolution toward that vision.
There is a saying in the market, “The road behind the man's path is a mountain of flowers. It means that to profit in the stock market, you have to do the opposite of what others do. I believe that I-GLOCAL has truly lived up to this maxim.
